How to use it

Any Steel-type attack becomes Max Steelspike while its user is Dynamaxed. It’s physical or special, as that move is, and its power comes from that move’s. Dynamax is in Sword & Shield, not in Pokémon Champions.

Gigantamax forms with a G-Max Move of this type use that instead: G-Max Meltdown and G-Max Steelsurge.

How it works in Gen VIII

Power is equal to the base move's Max Move power. If this move is successful, the Defense of each Pokémon on the user's side is raised by 1 stage, even if they have a substitute. This effect does not happen if the user is not Dynamaxed. If this move is used as a base move, it deals damage with a power of 0.

“This is a Steel-type attack Dynamax Pokémon use. This raises ally Pokémon’s Defense stats.”
