Biology

Chikorita is a quadruped reptilian Pokémon. It has a large leaf on the top of its head, which it uses as a means to measure the humidity and temperature of its surroundings. Bayleef is the evolution of Chikorita.

Design & origin

Chikorita's name may be a combination of the chicory plant, as well as the Spanish suffix for something that is small, "-ita".
