Biology

Cleffa is a baby Pokémon and pre-evolution of Clefairy. Cleffa is pink and star-shaped. It is an extraterrestrial species, originating either from the Moon or outer space.

Groups of Cleffa dance in rings on nights filled with shooting stars until dawn, which is seen as a sign of good luck.

Design & origin

In the Spaceworld demo, Cleffa originally had a slightly altered appearance, having an antenna protruding from its head. Cleffa's name is in reference to a musical clef.
