Biology

Pachirisu is a cyan-and-white squirrel with yellow sacs on its cheeks and a fluffy tail. It grooms its tail regularly, and uses it as a pillow when sleeping. It uses its shed fur to make furballs, charges them with static electricity, and stores them and its hoarded food inside tree holes to deter unsuspecting thieves.

Design & origin

Pachirisu is considered a "Pikachu clone", a Pokémon that resembles the design of series mascot Pikachu. Its name comes from the Japanese words "pachipachi", the sound of an electric crackle, and "risu", the Japanese word for squirrel.
