Biology
Pineco typically hangs from tree branches and gathers tree bark in order to mimic the appearance of pinecones. When Pineco evolves into Forretress, the Pokémon develops a large spherical appearance, spines and external plates similar to an exoskeleton.
Design & origin
Pineco and Forretress are Pokémon based on bagworm moth larvae. Pineco's name derives from the word "pinecone".
